Twins update

Hallie and Mikayla are crawling eveywhere and trying to walk! They are partners in crime even though they don't know that it is bad yet. They are both very busy and love to go on adventures together around our house. Hallie likes to shut doors and so they usually end up trapped in a room crying and someone has to go save them. We finally are to the point that we can put barretts in their hair! There are also some pictures of them invading my purse and they found the credit card to which their dad just said "oh no!" I've found what's cuter than a baby...it's two!

Valentine's Day

Ryan had a barber shop quartet come and sing to me on valentine's day! He really surprised me, I was not expecting that! I guess a guy from his work is in the quartet. You can't see my face in the pictures but it is probably bright red... in fact you can't even see one of the guys, hmmm. Elise was so cute...she was telling them that she sings melody...I don't even know if she knows what that means!

The Tooth Fairy

Carson has been loosing his baby teeth finally and waiting for the tooth fairy to come. He has lost more now than in the pictures...I think we are up to five now.

Carson had his little friend Van over one day and they found a big box that Elise's new dresser had come in full of styrofoam and just had a blast playing in it. They ran through the house too and it was really hard to clean up, but they sure had fun!

Carson played basketball at the beginning of this year. He was really good at shooting! It was really fun to watch his games...all of these little boys who don't know what they are doing, but trying really hard anyway!=)

Christmas morning

On Christmas day we went to Ryan's parents house and did a nativity with all of the little kids. It was so cute!

Hallie and Mikayla sure had a fun first Christmas! When we first woke up they just wanted to eat, so we put them in thier high chairs and they watched the rest of us. When they were done eating we helped them open their presents. They looked at me a little funny when I ripped open the wrapping paper, like mom- your- not -supposed- to -do -that! They sure knew what to do with the toys though and played and played!

Elise had the biggest present of us all! A new bed! She just ran to it and started jumping!

This picture was actually on the morning of Christmas Eve. All four of our kids were bundled up in this big blanket laughing and giggling together and we thought it was cute!

Polar Express

The day after Thanksgiving my mom surprised us with tickets to the thundermomuntain railroad polar express ride. We had such a blast!

Grandma Harker and Aunt Verla came with us too! It was nice having them there. There was a conflict concerning the Boise State Broncos for Grandpa and Uncle Dale. Ha,Ha!

David, Staci, and Dallin were there too along with Richard! It was so great to have everyone for thanksgiving and the train ride.

Carson had his 7th birthday at the end of november. I can't believe he is that old! He sure grew fast! He wanted a john deere birhtday...again. He sure knows what he likes and is planning for the future when he is going to buy his grandpa's farm. He says he is going to build a house and that his buddy Trayson is going to live next door and raise cows. They are so funny! He sure likes first grade now and is doing really well in school! We are so proud of him! Happy Birthday!

Quey's Maze

Camden came with Elise to her preschool and we went to the corn maze.

There was a haystack mountain for the kids to climb. I had little Kindra with me and she wanted to climb up over and over. I had a workout.

Halloween

We put Mikayla in a pumpkin at the Session's pumpkin carving party and took her picture. She was pretty comfortable in there, we tried with Hallie and she cried. She does like the laundry basket though.

When you have twins sometimes you have to be creative on how you carry them around and how you get things done.

Elise was sleeping beauty for halloween. She sure is our princess! Carson was batman, and Hallie and Mikayla were little kittens.

We are so excited to be getting these adoreable smiles and personalities! This is Hallie! She is rolling over and cooing. She is patient and layed back and just a sweetheart!

Mikayla is REALLY smiley and a drama queen already. When she wants something she really lets you know it. Mikayla is cooing and rolls to her side but not her tummy, she doesn't really like to be on her stomach.

Our little girls are looking more and more alike! Sometimes you have to have both of them together to tell who is who. It sure makes life interresting and fun!

Carson had his kindergarden graduation on May 27th. They did a cute program where the kids sang patriotic songs and then they "walked the line" and received a diploma. We are so proud of him and the good student that he was all year!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our twin baby girls!

Hallie Ann Merrick and Mikayla Camille Merrick were born on Friday May 9th 2008.

Hallie was born first at 4 lbs. 15 oz. and 18 inches long and Mikayla 2 minutes later at 5 lbs. 5 oz. and 19 inches long.

Easter Fun

The kids sure had fun coloring eggs and decorating our Easter branches. They went on an Easter egg hunt in grandview with their Grandma Merrick too. Lots of Easter fun. With all the festivities they still remembered that Easter is about our Savior "coming to life again."

Elise's Birthday

Our little princess on her birthday. She wanted a princess party and we celebrated with her preschool and at home with family that evening. She was in heaven and kept saying how much she loved her birthday.

Elise really wanted dress up clothes and horses. Her two favorite things to play! She had to try things on right away!
